In celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, the SC Disability Employment Coalition is inviting businesses in SC to send your HR or policy staff to the third annual Employer Summit. The Summit will build on your awareness of issues surrounding hiring people with disabilities and help you to create a more inclusive work environment. SHRM and HRCI credit hours are pending.

Local Interagency Transition teams (e.g., LEA, SCVRD, DDSN, parent centers, CILs, employers,  youth, families) of 2 – 10 people will gain knowledge and skills specific to Collaborative Planning; School-Based Preparatory Experiences; Career Preparation & Work-Based Learning Experiences; Youth Development & Leadership; Connecting Activities; and Family Involvement & Supports in an effort to  target improved transition services, and improved post-secondary outcomes for youth with disabilities.
